SMART1 Management Solutions, LLC (Smart1) is proud to announce its acceptance into the United States Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Business Development Program. Smart1 is a Washington, DC area-based company formed in 2012 that provides acquisition and financial management, program management and program support, data analytics, and leadership and development and training.

According to the Small Business Administration report for 2021, there are approximately 32 million small businesses in the United States. Less than 12,000 of them have completed the process of obtaining their 8(a) certification. This certification has a nine-year lifespan and allows participants to compete for set-aside and sole-sourced Federal contracts.

SMART1 looks forward to the opportunity to build new partnerships and expand its operations with the Federal, state, and local governments. “This will allow Smart1 to provide its technical and management expertise to support the mission-critical objectives of agencies; and help them solve their challenges and deliver solutions that generate value,” says Ms. Deborah Smart, President and CEO.

SMART1’s major customers include the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, General Services Administration, Prince George’s County Maryland Government, and Douglas County Georgia Government.
